15th Annual Chicano College Bowl

On Friday, May 4, 2012 Highland Park High School celebrated the 15th Annual Chicano College Bowl.

Last weekend, HPHS student Miguel Lara was honored as the NSSRA (Northern Suburban Special Recreation Association) “Athlete of the Year”.
He was chosen as the only recipient of this award from more than 100 athletes.

Ravine restoration is now underway in Highland Park. The Park District received $200,000 in funding from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for the project. The goal is to improve the habitat for native plants and animal species and now HPHS students are getting involved.
