At Highland Park High School, the Dean's Office is dedicated to fostering a safe, respectful and supportive learning environment for all students. We work closely with students, families and staff to address disciplinary concerns and ensure consistent school attendance. Our goal is to help every student thrive both academically and personally.

Study Hall - First and Last Period Exemptions
Students who have a scheduled study hall during the first or last period of the day can be excused from study hall and have a late arrival or early dismissal. If a student is excused from their study hall during the first or last period of the day, but remains in the building, they are expected to attend their study hall and follow all established procedures. Caregivers are asked to fill out the First/Last Period of the Day Study Hall Exemption form to excuse their students.
