Applied Arts
Overview
The Applied Arts department at Highland Park High School inspires students to think creatively and work practically through dynamic, hands-on courses. With opportunities in Business Principles, Engineering/Project Lead The Way and Family and Consumer Sciences, students gain real-world skills that prepare them for life beyond the classroom. From building financial literacy to mastering technology and personal wellness, these courses empower students to explore their interests while developing essential tools for future success. The program nurtures innovation, confidence, and career readiness—equipping students to thrive in college, the workplace, and everyday life.
