Freshmen

Welcome to Highland Park High School! During freshman year students should be focused on getting themselves acclimated to high school and the academic rigors associated with classroom learning. Postsecondary planning will be a part of your journey and the conversations you will have this year, but we want you to be focused on the present experience of life as a high school student. There will be one formal program offered in conjunction with your School Counselors on what academic and social/emotional supports are offered at HPHS as well as ways students can make the most of their high school experience. This includes academic course selection and getting involved with extracurricular activities. Again, during this year the focus should be on a good transition to high school and having the most successful year possible, personally, academically, and socially.

If you have any questions or concerns please contact your counselor.
